Celebrities are dead wood in parliament

How effective are celebrities in the parliament?  A new report says that they are nothing more than dead wood.  Apparently Navjot Singh Sidhu, Govinda, Vinod Khanna, Hema Malini, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Jaya Prada, Dara Singh, Vijay Mallya, Rahul Bajaj, Shyam Benegal, and Bimal Jalan attended parliament only 20% of the time.  I am not questioning the eminence of folks on this list but 20% attendance is unacceptable.  Bimal Jalan points to some interesting facts in a rejoinder but it reads more like a lame excuse.
